Madelyn is currently a high school biology teacher. She has a MA in teaching from Eastern Kentucky University and a MS in biology from the University of Alabama. So, science is not only a passion of hers, but a tool she uses when writing fiction. She has published two peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals, one where she describes two new species of marine mollusk. Outside of work, she writes fiction, reads fantasy and non-fiction, completes an excessive amount of paint-by-numbers, and drinks too much coffee. She lives in Louisville, KY and is surrounded by her young niece and nephews who allow her to dream of magic and stay young as long as possible.
